I have a philosophy when it comes to drum lessons: The simplest answer is always the best one.
Less is often more. No, I don't mean that I intend to post little to no information on the site.
What I mean is that we need to realize what our jobs are as drummers; We are keepers of the time,
we are supporters of the music, and we are responsible for the sounds we create.
When it comes to fulfilling
these job descriptions, less is often more; most of the time it's easier to groove, support the music, and
be responsible for our sound when we play simpler figures.
Try and keep that in mind when you're reading the drum lesson articles, and watching the videos! I'll show you
lots of technical things: rudiments, drum fills, all sorts of grooves and beats, but these things are only tools
to create music. Treat them as such.
